Our Commitment to Child Safety

DailyCal ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the safety and privacy of children who may use our application. This Child Safety Policy outlines how we handle children's data, the precautions we take to ensure safety, and the responsibilities of parents or guardians.

DailyCal is designed for general audiences and is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by your country's law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

1. Purpose of This Policy

The purpose of this Child Safety Policy is to:

  • Protect minors from harmful exposure
  • Comply with international child protection laws (COPPA, GDPR-K, etc.)

2.2 Parental or Guardian Consent (For Ages 13–18)

If the user is a minor (under 18), they should use DailyCal only under the supervision or permission of a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring the app is appropriate for their child's age, maturity, and health condition.

3. Data Collection From Children

We do not knowingly collect, store, or process any personal data from children under 13. This includes:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Age
  • Weight, height
  • Food photos
  • Health and fitness data
  • Subscription/payment information

If a child under 13 attempts to register, they must stop using the app.

4. If We Discover Data From a Child

If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will:

  • Immediately delete the data from our servers
  • Disable the child's account
  • Notify the parent/guardian (if contact is available)
